Weapons through time

Takes you on a trip from the use of sticks up to the age of guns. It covers ancient, bronze age, medieval, renaissance, pirates, exotic weapons, whips and Japanese swords. This package will be tailored to your needs and includes fight demonstrations of several styles and weapons.

Medieval

This covers the medieval period from just after the bronze age up to the renaissance period. It shows various medieval weapons including broadswords, flails, axes, shields and polearms. We demonstrate the use of many of these weapons in actual fights. We also have mail (chainmail and platemail) and helmets which we let the audience hold and some lucky individuals get to try on.

Renaissance

This covers the renaissance period from the advent of guns showing the transition of swords from weapons of war to weapons of personal dueling. We demonstrate the use of period weapons and explain their construction.

Pirates

This covers the history of pirates, the weapons they used, their lives and the code they lived by. We demonstrate pirates fighting with period weapons.

Swordsmanship for the stage

A hands on workshop for drama students covering the basics of using swords on stage. Handling and carrying swords, basic stage combat techniques, safety and care of weapons.
